Things took unexpected twist when, Kangna Ranaut met with an accident during the shoot of Anand Rai's ‘Tanu Weds Manu’.

The unit was in Jalandhar shooting an action sequence. The scene involved Kangna to ride a bike with a pillion rider. However, in the course of the shoot they lost balance, the bike skid and fell on the actress’s foot. Moreover, the anklets which Kangna was wearing pierced her leg and aggravated the pain further. Immediately the team came to her aid and rushed her to nearest hospital.

Hospital reports revealed serious damage while producer Shailesh Singh stated that Kangna has a minor fracture and has been advised bed rest for at least a week. Besides, they have arranged for the best orthopaedic surgeon for her.

While the film’s shoot has come to a standstill, the producers will later sit over to reschedule their shooting plan. At the moment they are very concerned about the actress.

Director Anand Rai recalled that even while the actress was fighting the pain in hospital, she was concerned about the next shooting schedule.
